Payment

To secure your room, we ask for a 25% deposit. During the pandemic, should you get sick and be unable to come, we are happy to roll the booking on to another date in the future for you or, if necessary, return your deposit.

Payment is by credit or debit card. The balance is payable by card on the day you arrive.

Outside of the pandemic, deposits are non-returnable in the event of cancellation, unless we are able to re-let the room. Again, we are happy to roll the booking on to another date in the future for you.

All cancellations made within three days of booking date will normally be charged in full.

Group Bookings: we charge the FULL AMOUNT if a member of a group drops out and we STRONGLY recommend the whole group takes out insurance. The balance of payment is required one month in advance.

If you wish to pay by bank transfer, please contact us for account details. 01766 540397 or 07769 538101

Arrival and Departure

Because of the new Covid cleaning protocols taking longer than usual, check-in is now available from 4 p.m. and it’s helpful if guests can arrive by 7 p.m. However, later arrivals (by arrangement) are possible as everyone has their own front door. If you are going to be later than 7 p.m. please contact us and we will explain our check-in process. Breakfast for your first morning needs to be booked the day before.

On the morning of your departure, please vacate your room by 10.00 a.m. and contact us to check-out and return your key.

Reservations and Payments

Although reservations can be made online, we recognise that many people prefer to discuss their requirements with us before they book, so you are very welcome to telephone or email. Enquiries about one night or group bookings must be made by telephone – 01766 540 397.

Group Bookings: we charge the FULL AMOUNT if a member of a group drops out and we STRONGLY recommend the whole group takes out insurance. The balance of payment is required one month in advance.

Parking

We have plenty of parking but all cars are parked at owner’s risk. Old Mill Farmhouse does not accept any liability for damage, loss or injury to any guest, vehicles or possessions (including animals) whilst staying at Old Mill Farmhouse.

Pets

Well behaved dogs are very welcome. We ask just a few common sense things:

Please don’t let your dog climb on the beds or furniture.

Please take your dog off the premises to relieve itself.

Please DON’T go away and leave your dog unattended in the room.

Please keep the dog on a lead when in the grounds.

We do not accept any liability for damage or injury caused by guests’ dogs entering the premises. Please note: we are unable to accept pets in Welsh Mountain family room or Snowy Peaks four-poster room.

Wi-fi access

Wi-fi is available but here in rural Wales it cannot be guaranteed, although it is usually very reliable. We ask all our guests to be responsible and fair in their use of the system so it is available for all our guests to enjoy.

Children and Animals

Children (1 – 101!) are welcome to visit the animals but must be accompanied by Penny or Margaret. Parents please note: there are deep pools on the property: children must be supervised at all times.

Garden Railway

The garden railway is designed for serious railway enthusiasts to enjoy. Well-behaved children, along with interested adults, will be invited to watch the railway in action during their stay – weather permitting. It is a digitally controlled model railway, not a ride-on.

Please note: in order to avoid any damage to either property or people, guests are requested not to wander in the railway area unless accompanied by Penny or Margaret, or when invited to watch the trains running. Thank you for your co-operation.

Smoking

We would respectfully point out that we are a TOTALLY NON-SMOKING establishment.

Wet clothes

As you may have noticed, it rains sometimes in Wales(!) If you have problems with wet clothes, please have a word with a member of staff and we will do all we can to help. Please don’t cover heaters with towels and clothes as this can cause a fire hazard.

Changes

We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. This does not affect bookings already made.

We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
